We offer, as part of our free specialist service to your Care Home, all the following:

Monitored Dosage System

We can supply medication in MDS packages such as Venalink – tailored to your individual requirements. Our Care Homes Coordinator (Usha) will arrange a meeting with you to discuss your requirements.

Service Audit and quarterly Visit

To help Care Homes raise their medication standards, as part of our commitment to the process of quality improvement, we will carry out a thorough review and help implement necessary changes in line with the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Further monitoring will be used to confirm the improvements.

Advice

Our pharmacy team can offer advice on the storage, administration, record keeping and disposal of medicines in the Home. We can also offer advice on Risk Assessment for self-medicating residents and conduct Medication Review for all residents. You will receive at least four visits per year to discuss these matters.

Training

We offer training to your staff. Basic training on the use of the MDS is always available for old and new staff alike. Our Superintendent Pharmacist (Posh) is an experienced Teacher-Practitioner and regularly contributes to programmes of learning to both pharmacist and nursing students at Bournemouth and Reading Universities. We, therefore, also offer more specialised training sessions on clinical topics that are aimed at nursing staff.

Technology

We use the very latest technology to update and maintain patient records.

Delivery

We provide a delivery service and can also collect prescriptions either from the Home or from the surgery saving you valuable time.
